As Simon and Garfunkel sang in 1966 (for those of you who are old enough to remember), “and the leaves that are green turn to brown.”
The arrival of autumn sparks very definite feelings. For some it makes things more difficult, because it’s getting dark early and they feel like moles, going to work and coming home in the dark, whilst others, and I am one of these, rejoice in the beautiful colours. Although the golds and oranges are not shades that I would wear, being a purple and pink girl, I really love watching the trees go through the amazing colour changes.
Mr A and I went to Canada in the fall some 15 years ago and the colours really were spectacular. This year has been very mild, which has given us more opportunities to embrace this beautiful season.
Not only were we gifted with the richness of autumn, but people living in the UK got an extra hour added on last Sunday. Those of you who follow me on Facebook will know that Mr A and I made use of that additional time to go to a classic car meeting, prior to enjoying a delicious roast lunch at a local brewery.
Now that the nights are drawing in, what could be better than to draw the curtains and snuggle down with your favourite drink and a copy of a good book? All my Emotions are available here through the website. Just saying…
With love
