I’ve had a thoughtful couple of weeks as I’ve not been too well and one of the things I’ve been thinking about is the restaurants that Mr A and I visit. As you will know from previous snippets we’re always looking for new places to eat, but this last week I was pondering about the ones that we do frequent.
A trip to a filthy loo in a restaurant that we used to go to almost every week took them off my list of places to visit. That then started me thinking about hygiene ratings and as I had nothing better to do, I began looking up the ratings for most of the restaurants in the town where we live. You can perhaps imagine my horror when discovering that a restaurant we use quite often and which is at the more expensive end of the spectrum, only scored a 2 out of 5. I like the restaurants I use to be spotlessly clean, which leaves me with the burning question of whether to go there again or not. Without a doubt the food is excellent, but is it cooked/stored in a satisfactory manner? Am I lucky to have escaped food poisoning?
