I hadn’t been to a classic car meeting for a while, but on Saturday I accompanied Mr A to Haddenham Classic Cars’ meeting at Bradmoor Farm. The weather was fine and it was a most enjoyable morning. We took our Alpina convertible (see photo) which is the only one of that model in that colour (Alpina Grün) in this country. As usual she attracted quite a bit of attention. There were some interesting cars there, as there was a good turnout, so there was something for everybody.
Bradmoor Farm is a good venue in that there is a decent café where a friend treated me to a bacon and egg roll washed down with coffee. Delicious. There is also a small selection of shops, including a charity shop on site. On our first visit to Bradmoor I bought a lovely Le Creuset dish in the charity shop for £20. I do like my Le Creuset cookware.
It was lovely to see people of all ages admiring the cars – from Austin A10s to 1970s Rolls Royces. And, we, the owners, are always delighted to chat to fellow enthusiasts about our cars.
Mr A is now busy fettling the Alpina before she goes back in the garage. We were complimented on her excellent condition (she was manufactured in 1999), but then Mr A takes great pride in his cars and they are always immaculate.
Until next time…
